movement and motion
My project began with me looking at the movement and motion in the human body. I looked at the hands and legs and did analitical drawings which i then overlapped to create the illusion of motion. I've taken photos of a model in long exposure, i had her move towards the camera, away from the camera etc. experimenting with moving the camera whilst the model stood still and while she walked. My basic idea was to capture the movement and motion that we dont normally pick up on, in one shot! Using this idea i wanted to create something that didnt look like the human body. Something that when being viewd, a viewer would not recoignise what it was. At the moment i dont have my images to put up but i will upload them soon. But, if you take a look at artist peter jansens sculptures this should give you an idea, http://humanmotions.com/ Keep in mind though that im not trying to do what he has already done, im going that bit further in an attempt to make my work surreal.
